Jheronimus Bosch - Visions of a genius

10.02.16

Never before have so many works – 20 paintings, 19 drawings, various triptychs and panels – by Bosch been brought together. Jheronimus' world famous masterpieces have returned to 's-Hertogenbosch - the city they were created in 500 years ago - from around the globe in 2016.

A large number of paintings were studied and restored by prominent art historians, curators and restoration experts as part of the Bosch Research and Conservation Project during the years preceding the exhibition.

This really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see so many masterpieces by this artist in one location.

The results, new connections, techniques and meanings, but also exceptional works by Jheronimus' fellow artists, followers and contemporaries will be displayed to the general public for the first time during Jheronimus Bosch – Visions of a Genius.

The festive, cultural, Bosch 500 year 2016 started on the market square in 's-Hertogenbosch right outside the artists former studio and the exhibition 'Jheronimus Bosch - Visions of a genius' will run at Het Noordbrabants Museum until the 8th May 2016.

This really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see so many masterpieces by this artist in one location. David Wade will be visiting the show this week.
